Van Lint - Pisa - Coppia di Fotografie antiche dell’800

Pisa A pair of splendid and refined original photographic images, printed on albumen paper, loose, produced around 1870 by the famous Pisa-based photographer Enrico Van Lint, among the leading protagonists and precursors of photographic art in Italy.

The photographs, of rare beauty, feature a view of the cloister gallery (galleria del camposanto) and a very rare image of a member of the Confraternity of Mercy of Pisa. The confraternities traditionally wore hooded robes to maintain anonymity during their service of charity and medical assistance.

The photographs are in good condition, with minimal signs of use and slight signs of aging, consistent with objects that have traversed almost 150 years of history.

The photos will be carefully packaged and shipped by courier.
