Interesting Mumuye for its rich head carving, very expressive and magical. The Mumuye were unknown as a distinct ethnic group until well into the 1970s; they were considered just another tribe of Nigeria. Deep in the mountains, hidden in the jungle, they had their own religious and sculptural identity almost entirely designed to represent their ancestors, who remained in the houses alongside the descendants.
