Bohemian Art Deco glass fumé trumpet vase on a ribbed flaring foot, ca. 1930–1940; height 27 cm, width 17 cm, depth 17 cm, weight 1417 g; in good condition.
Description from the seller
Here is the text with Fumé used throughout instead of Amber:
Vase - Fumé trumpet vase on a cut waisted foot, Art Deco • Czechoslovakia (attrib.) • ca. 1930-1940 - Glass
Trumpet vase made of fumé glass with a cut rim and a fluted stem, which tones from honey to cognac when exposed to sunlight. Subtle and unnamed; a maker is not claimed.
Fumé trumpet vase in Art Deco style, pressed glass, presumably from Czechoslovakia, circa 1930-1940. From a slender stem the body broadens to a cut rim, on a foot with radial ribs. Against sunlight the glass shifts from honey to cognac, where the thick facets become darker.
For this object a Buy Now price has also been set, for those who want to acquire it immediately without waiting.
In one glance:
Material: fumé glass, pressed
Dimensions: h 28 x w 15 cm
Weight: 1320 grams
Brand: no factory mark, signature or label found
Dating: ca. 1930-1940
Provenance: private collection, Western Europe
Description and context:
Conical body with vertical facets and stepped cross ribs beneath the rim. The stem transitions with a finely ribbed cuff into the fluted foot; the underside shows a dark, rough circular spot where the stem joins. The stepped ribs and radiant foot are typical of Art Deco. A weight of 1320 grams at 28 cm height indicates a thick wall, characteristic of pressed glass rather than mouth-blown work.
Condition:
Very good. Rim and foot edges: no chips, hairlines or restorations observed. Wall: fine scratches and small bubbles. Bottom underside: one small lighter spot just outside the ribs. See the images.
In the interior:
Fits in an Art Deco, vintage, or eclectic interior, on a sideboard, mantle, or windowsill. In front of a window the glass shines warmly.
Shipping:
Professionally packed in a sturdy box with cushioning material, for fragile objects a double box. Always insured shipment with Track & Trace. See the feedback from previous buyers.
Attribution and sources:
A factory or maker has not been established and is not claimed. The country is an estimate based on form and color: fumé Art Deco-press glass of this kind partly came from Czechoslovakia. Germany remains possible. A visual comparison with documented specimens did not yield a match.

One point to check: "from honey to cognac" belongs to amber. Fumé is smoke-colored glass, so that color description may not be accurate anymore. Would you like me to adjust it to, for example, "from smoke gray to warm brown"?
