Description from the seller
Jaguar - Original 'Leaper' Bonnet Mascot - Wilmot Breeden - Casting No. 7/10091/1 - 1950s/60s
Beautiful, authentic vintage Jaguar "Leaper" bonnet mascot, mounted on a stylish dark wooden display base. This is an original factory model and NOT a modern reproduction.
Under the mascot (on the belly of the jaguar, close to the mounting foot) lies the original casting number 7/10091/1 and the initials WBB. Note: this number is unfortunately very difficult to see in the photos due to glare and the angle, but it is actually cast into the metal and guarantees authenticity. This confirms that the item was produced by the legendary British manufacturer Wilmot Breeden from Birmingham, the official supplier of chrome trim for Jaguar in the 1950s and 60s.
This specific 8-inch model adorned the bonnets of iconic classics such as the Jaguar Mark 1, Mark 2 (Mk II), S-Type, Mk VIII, Mk IX, and the XK150.
* Manufacturer: Wilmot Breeden (WBB)
* Casting number: 7/10091/1 (cast into the belly, poorly visible in photos)

* Total weight: 745 grams (very solid quality)

* Condition: In a nice, glossy vintage condition with light, characteristic signs of aging appropriate to the age of the object. The chrome work has a beautiful luster, and the mascot presents superbly as a luxurious decoration or desk accessory for the true automobilia collector.
