Zevi - Writing table - Aluminium, Glass - Italian Space Age

Vintage writing desk produced by Zevi & C. s.a.s. – Arredamenti Metallici, Remanzacco (Udine), Italy, characterized by a geometric aluminum frame with a gold finish and glass surfaces.

The design features a particular asymmetric configuration, with two side glass shelves integrated into the frame and a large open compartment. The geometric lines, the pairing of gold metal and glass, and the modular construction are expressions of Italian design of the second half of the 20th century.

The piece retains the original manufacturer label Zevi & C. s.a.s., visible in the photographs.
Particularly interesting is the construction system: the desk is completely disassemblable and the different sections of the frame are joined via specific mechanical joints. Some components of the assembly system bear the marking “Brev.” (Brevettato), also documented photographically.

Conditions:
The item is in good vintage condition, compatible with age and use.
The metal frame and glass elements show scratches, marks, small imperfections, signs of use and normal wear over time. There are variations and marks on the metal finish and superficial scratches on the glass surfaces.

Assembly is simple and intuitive with the original hardware and joints of the period, provided together with the item.

The writing desk will be shipped completely disassembled, using the original system of mechanical joints, to ensure greater safety during transport.

The structural elements and the glass surfaces will be packaged and carefully protected.
