Very elegant and regal vintage table lamp with a beautiful combination of glossy white opaline/milk glass, chrome-colored details, and a large pleated lampshade. Because of its substantial size, soft rounded forms, and restrained color palette, this is not only a functional lamp but also a highly decorative interior object.

The design clearly draws influences from Mid-Century and Space Age design from the second half of the 20th century. In particular, the almost organic, bulbous glass base gives the lamp its characteristic appearance. The combination with the chrome details creates a beautiful contrast between the soft white glass and the cool, shiny metal.

Glass lamp base

The substantial lamp base is finished in glossy white opaline/milk glass and features an elegantly rounded silhouette. From the broad, bulbous bottom the body smoothly tapers upward toward the fitting, resulting in an elegant teardrop- or ovoid shape.

The high-gloss surface of the glass captures ambient light in a special way. Depending on the light incidence, subtle reflections appear across the surface, making the lamp attractive both when switched on and off.

At the bottom, the glass base rests on a round chrome-colored metal base. The same material is echoed around the neck and the fitting. These metal accents enhance the lamp’s luxurious character and form a stylish contrast with the white glass.

Lampshade

The lamp is sold complete with the depicted large conical shade. This shade proportions particularly well with the generous glass base.

The shade is finished in a pale cream/beige hue and features a fine vertically pleated texture. The many narrow lines give the shade extra depth and ensure the light is distributed in a warm, atmospheric manner.

A narrow metal/chrome-colored edge finishes the shade along both the top and bottom. This detail harmonizes beautifully with the metal components of the lamp base and visually unites base and shade.
