Description from the seller
Old Jardiniera cache-pot, Arts and Crafts • early 1900s, Chaché-Pot in copper metal, brass with a detailed Greca pattern in relief, well finished with a detailed geometric pattern, tile-like style highlighted with bands — Art Deco style and period.
Its geometric motif and line, from the Edwardian era, a symbol appreciated as a national pride.
Items like this cache-pot were essential in the bourgeois interior of that era, in which the display of exotic indoor plants had become a status symbol.
This piece is not new, over 80 years old, it preserves the patina of age and use over the years — it can be polished to a bright shine, it has a few dents and marks typical of its use and age. — It is in excellent condition!
