Kern Sport-Kamera 6x9, in good physical condition and tested to be working, a rare early 1930s Swiss mid‑format folding camera with Kern Lens 1:4.5 F=105 and Friedrich Deckel Compur shutter.
Description from the seller
Here is a rarissima, prestigious and historically valuable vintage medium format bellows camera: the Kern Sport-Kamera (6x9 cm format), produced in Switzerland by the legendary Kern & Co. in Aarau in the early 1930s.
The lot is presented in good overall condition, with normal signs of use and storage consistent with the age and pre-war history of the item.
Optics: The camera is fitted with the Kern Lens 1:4.5 F=105 Kern Aarau. The lenses appear free of deep scratches; only a normal, widespread and light vintage patina is evident, due to the decades elapsed, entirely physiological for a piece of this age, which does not compromise its historical thickness and collectible charm.
Mechanical: The lot operates mechanically. The central mechanical shutter Friedrich Deckel Compur responds to manual controls.
Aesthetic: Good overall condition, as clearly documented by the photographs. The solid metal housing preserves its original black finish, showing the classic and normal superficial signs of age and small localized wear along the shiny outer metal profiles.
Tracked international shipping, fully insured and professionally super-protective packaging to ensure maximum safety during transport.
