Elegant and rare Art Nouveau period table lamp from around 1900, featuring a magnificent bronze sculpture with a brown patina depicting a seated young woman playing the lute.

This work is signed Stefan Schwartz (1851-1954), a major sculptor of the Vienna art workshops of the Belle Époque.

The bronze sculpture rests on a double circular and oval terrace, enhanced by a handsome polished marble pedestal providing great stability to the base.

In perfect condition, with a very attractive patina.
