A Victorian opalescent uranium glass basket, model Lady Caroline by George Davidson & Co, England, circa 1891, part of the Primrose Pearline series, height 9.5 cm, width 10.5 cm, in excellent condition with only minor wear and a strong uranium content that glows under UV light.

Magnificent opalescent glass basket (uranium glass or vaseline glass) from the Victorian era, made in England by the famous glassworks George Davidson & Co. around 1891.
It is part of the Primrose Pearline collection (known under the pattern "Lady Caroline" or the "1891 Suite" series)
The base features pale yellow translucent glass while the wavy rims and the handles display a milky, opalescent appearance characteristic of Davidson's Pearline finish.
This beautiful collector's piece is heavily enriched with uranium, giving it a bright and striking reaction under UV lamp 395.
