Thonet - Michael Thonet - School chair - Wood

The chair is in reasonably used condition, with some superficial small stains. The estimate is about a little over 60 years old. It was at the time in use at the "Haagsche Tekenschool", hence the widened end of the right backrest. The color is dark brown on the black finish. There is, in the middle of the seat on the right, a strip of veneer coming off, which, however, does not affect the sitting comfort. It is an original Thonet, (the brand name sits under the seat along the edge), entirely made of wood.
