Tenuta Sette Ponti Oreno 2021, three 0.75 L bottles from Tuscany, Italy.
Description from the seller
Oreno is the flagship wine of Tenuta Sette Ponti, the prestigious Tuscan estate of the Moretti Cuseri family. Born with the first vintage in 1999, it takes its name from the Oreno stream that runs through the estate and is conceived as a great Bordeaux-inspired blend, reinterpreted with a strong Tuscan identity.
It arises from the assemblage of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. Merlot finds particular expression in soils richer in clay, while Cabernet Sauvignon benefits from plots with a greater presence of pebbles and excellent drainage. Petit Verdot completes the blend by adding intensity and characteristic spicy notes.
Production is characterized by careful manual selection of the grapes, first in the vineyard and then in the winery. For Oreno, vinification involves fermentation and maceration on the skins at a controlled temperature for about 25 days, followed by a long aging in French oak barriques for 18 months and a further 12 months in bottle before commercialization.
In the glass it presents a deep ruby red with violet reflections. The aromatic profile is broad and complex, with small ripe red fruits accompanied by elegant notes of chocolate and balsamic hints. On the palate it is rich, enveloping and structured, yet dynamic, with great persistence and a tannic texture that is important and elegant.
Oreno is one of Tenuta Sette Ponti’s most representative labels, born from the meeting of the elegance of Bordeaux grape varieties and the character of the Tuscan terroir. A wine of great structure and longevity, particularly interesting for both enthusiasts and collectors.
Lot of 3 bottles of 0.75 L, as shown in the photographs. Labels, capsules and fill levels as per the photo. Bottles stored with care. The photographs form an integral part of the lot description.
