The Nikon AF Nikkor 35mm f/2D is a compact, fast moderate wide-angle prime from Nikon’s autofocus system, long favoured for street, travel and documentary photography. It is sharp, light and close-focusing, and the D-type design passes distance information to the camera for flash metering. It has an aperture ring, so it works on manual-focus Nikon F bodies as well as autofocus film and digital bodies with a built-in focus motor.
