Galileo Sartorium Milano - Balance or scale - Steel - precision analytics

Elegant analytical precision balance with equal arms, the fruit of the historic collaboration between Firenze's Officine Galileo and the famous German company Sartorius of Göttingen (distributed under the Galileo Sartorius Milano brand from the post-war period, between the late 1940s and the 1950s). This fascinating epochal scientific instrument is housed in its classic protective wooden case (oak) with wide glass panels on all sides and a front sliding door, originally designed to protect laboratory measurements from drafts and dust. The supporting column rests on a black glass base and supports the complex precision mechanism with the yoke and integrated graduated scale.
The lot is completed by its original weight box carrying case (weights), equipped with sub-milligram foil standard weights, brass gram weights, and the corresponding precision tweezers (visible in the photo). NOT TESTED!!
