Plantation produces rums from several Caribbean countries, encompassing a wide range of styles. The finest rums are sent to France for final aging at Maison Ferrand, owner of the Plantation brand, in the Cognac region.
Nicaragua rum boasts a very smooth, Spanish style. This rum is column distilled before aging in bourbon barrels and finishing in cognac casks.
Amber and gold in color. Spicy nose with notes of butter and roasted fruit. Elegant and intense on the palate, with notes of banana and nutmeg over a smoky background.
Fermented for two days. Column distilled. Aged in Nicaragua for nine years in bourbon barrels. Subsequently aged for 18 months in casks at Château de Bonbonnet, Cognac, France.
