The Sony TA-1120A is a legendary vintage integrated hi-fi amplifier released in 1967. It is a direct, improved successor to the original 1965 TA-1120—known as the world's very first stereo-integrated hi-fi amplifier that was fully equipped with silicon transistors. The model marks the absolute beginning of Sony's renowned high-end ES (Extremely High Standard) series.
Key Features & Specifications
Power: 50 watts per channel at 8Ω (stereo).
Frequency range: Very wide, from 10 Hz to 100 kHz.
Build quality: Built like a tank, weighing 11 kg, a thick aluminum front panel and high-quality, stepped knobs.
Design: A so-called capacitor-coupled (condenser-coupled) design. This gives the amplifier a warm, full sound that is compared by many enthusiasts to the sound of a tube amplifier.
