Description from the seller
Made from a nicely colored flint nodule. These tools are regarded as transitional pieces between the earlier choppers/chopping tools and the fully peripheral-worked hand-axes. A characteristic is the preservation of much of the cortex, and with a minimum of flakes removed, an attempt is made to achieve a pointed form. These proto-bifaces are not commonly found in large assemblages.
No restorations, in perfect condition.
Dimensions 120 x 97 mm
