French religious clock, ebony, early 1700s, signed Jaques Langlois in Paris, on the front and on the movement. Dial with velvet and gilded numeral ring, movement with cycloid arches and a fusee for the going train and the striking train. The earliest type in 'religieuses' clocks; in good running order.
