Lamp - Large pineapple table lamp – Hollywood Regency 1970 - Wood, Cotton

This is a highly decorative vintage table lamp in the shape of a pineapple, presumably from the 1960s–1970s. The combination of the gold-brown patinated pineapple base and the large pleated shade with piping and fringe gives it a distinctive Hollywood Regency / hotel-chic look. The pineapple is traditionally regarded as a symbol of hospitality. The lamp base appears to be made of cast composite, resin, or plaster-like material with a dark gold finish; the lampshade is fabric with trim and double fringe.
