Beautiful antique Dutch oak plant stand / side table with three levels, executed in a characteristic and understated Arts & Crafts style. The piece stands out for its tall, slender form, the beautiful vertical lines and the open construction, giving the whole a graceful and airy appearance.

The plant stand is made of oak and has a warm dark brown to reddish brown wood color, with the natural grain and wood texture beautifully visible in several places. The three levels offer ample opportunities to display plants, flowers, vases or other decorative objects at different heights.

The top surface is rectangular with rounded corners and has a subtly shaped edge. Under the top surface there is an open space, followed by a second plateau. The bottom section also features a plateau, creating a pleasing vertical buildup. The slim legs and the intervening vertical supports give the plant stand a distinctive character and emphasize the artisanal design.

The design fits well within the Arts & Crafts style, in which natural materials, craftsmanship, functionality and an honest, decorative construction are central. The combination of warm oak and the clean, vertical lines makes this a particularly atmospheric piece of furniture.

Condition

The plant stand is in good antique used condition, with signs of wear and aging appropriate to its age. The top surface has been repaired and reinforced in the past. This repair is visible and is clearly shown in the photos. Furthermore, the furniture bears the usual traces typical for an antique piece of this age.
