Victorian antique tin coffee pot (or hot water pot), made in the 19th century by the manufacturer Thomas Otley & Sons of Sheffield.
The pot has a classic, fluted shape (vertical ribs) with an elegantly curved handle. On top of the lid sits a decorative knob. It is made of Britannia metal (a specific tin alloy consisting of tin, antimony and copper). This pot was made in the Victorian era, United Kingdom, circa 1860 to 1890.

In very good condition (see photos).

Victoriaans antiek tinnen koffiekan (of heetwaterkan), gemaakt in de negentiende eeuw door de fabrikant Thomas Otley & Sons uit Sheffield.
De kan heeft een klassieke, gecanneleerde vorm (verticale ribbels) met een sierlijk gebogen handvat. Bovenop het deksel zit een decoratieve knop. Het is gemaakt van Britannia-metaal (een specifieke tinnen legering bestaande uit tin, antimoon en koper). Deze kan is gemaakt in de Victoriaanse periode, Verenigd Koninkrijk ca 1860 en 1890.
