Elegant and rare original Umbertine mirror from the late 19th to early 20th century, made by the furniture workshop Giuseppe & Figlio of Varedo (Milan), as documented by the precious original label still present on the back. Varedo, in the heart of Lombardy’s furniture belt, was already at that time an important center of Lombard cabinetmaking, renowned for the quality of its artisanal workmanship.
The mirror stands out for the refined architectural design typical of the Umbertine style, the splendid wood grain, the two original drawers, and its precious original cut glass, an element today increasingly rare and sought after by collectors.
Conserved in excellent overall condition with a beautiful antique patina, it represents an authentic piece of Italian furniture history and of the Brianza furniture tradition.
