AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Grande Gruppo Scultoreo Galante in Biscuit di Porcellana - Firmato in pasta - Con Etichetta Negozio Storico Originale

Splendid and important sculptural group in porcelain biscuit, created and signed by master Tasca, a famous Italian ceramist and sculptor active within the great artistic tradition of Capodimonte. Renowned for his extraordinary ability to instill life and dynamism into matter, his works are regularly sought after by international collectors of autor ceramic and feature in the major auction catalogs of the field.

The work depicts a refined 18th-century-inspired gallant scene: a courtier in period attire elegantly addresses a lady who holds in her arms a rich basket of flowers finely modeled petal by petal. At their feet, a charming little dog completes the composition with extraordinary realism.

The sculpture is distinguished by the extraordinary fineness of anatomical and sartorial details (the flowers and petals, the folds of the garments, the buttons, the ivory-toned hair) typical of the artist's great mastery. The base, in glossy porcelain, rocaille-inspired and embellished with pure gold finishing and hand-applied biscuit roses, lends solemnity and elegance to the entire group.

Details and Marking:
Signature: Signed by the master "Tasca" with an impressed signature directly on the rock-like paste (clearly visible in the photo);
Mark: Under the base is present the characteristic blue underglaze Capodimonte mark with crown and monogram and the artist's name;
Provenance/History: Still preserves the fascinating original period label from the art and collectables shop "J. De Groote" (Tolpoortstraat 47, Deinze, Belgium), attesting to its circulation on the Northern European antique market.
Dimensions: Height about 18 cm, Width about 17 cm, Depth proportionate.

Excellent overall condition with no significant structural defects. Please carefully examine all high-definition photographs attached to the gallery, which form an integral part of the description.

Shipping and Packaging:
The lot will be packed with maximum care and professionalism, using triple-layer anti-shock protective materials inside a reinforced rigid box, to ensure that the delicate porcelain and the tiny floral details arrive at their destination perfectly intact. Tracked shipping with insured express courier.
