In the 19th century, several counterfeits of provincial coins were struck in Birmingham. One of the coins that was forged was the 2 stuiver Holland 1791 (also the 2-stuiver 1786 Utrecht is a well-known example).

The coins were intended for trade in Malaysia.

The value of these coins is about equal to a genuine double stuiver.

Deze munt is geslagen met een aantrekkelijk kartelmotief op de rand. Een variant derhalve. 

In de 19e eeuw zijn in Birmingham diverse vervalsingen geslagen van provinciale munten. Een van de munten die vervalst werd was de 2 stuiver Holland 1791 (ook 2 stuiver 1786 Utrecht is een bekende). De munten dienen voor de handel in Maleisië. De waarde van deze munten is ongeveer gelijk aan een echte dubbele stuiver.
