Description from the seller
Stunning enamelled cast-iron cocotte from the famous French house Staub, in an elegant deep, glossy red finish. A piece of cookware that is both functional and timeless, appreciated for its culinary qualities and robustness.
Designed in thick cast iron, this cocotte ensures excellent heat distribution and good heat retention, enabling gentle, even, and controlled cooking. It is ideal for braising meats, poultry, vegetables and saucy dishes, preserving flavors and the tenderness of the food.
Its lid has an interesting feature: the upper part is hollowed out to accommodate ice cubes. This system promotes condensation of steam and its return to the dish, helping to maintain moisture in the food during cooking. A principle reminiscent of Le Creuset’s Doufeu cocottes.
Dimensions
Length, including handles: 36.5 cm
Width: 23 cm
Height without lid: 11 cm
Height with lid: 15 cm
Weight: 6 kg
Condition and observations
This cocotte is in very good overall condition.
The interior of the tub and the underside are particularly well preserved. Some small enamel chips are to be noted on certain edges: the outer rim of the lid, the edge of the tub and the handles. These minor defects are discreet and are visible in the photographs.
The underside bears the inscription “F3 – 29 – France”.

Condition: very good overall, with a few small localized enamel chips, in accordance with the photographs.
Careful and very careful shipping.
Kind regards.
