Pair of Jucker model 147 table lamps designed by Afra and Tobia Scarpa for Flos, Italian-made in the 1960s, in used but working condition, white enamelled steel and plastic, 16 x 16 x 19 cm, two items, one lamp missing a side shade bolt though the diffuser remains adjustable.
Description from the seller
Splendid and rare pair of table lamps / abat-jour model "Jucker" (Model 147), designed in 1963 by the renowned architects Afra and Tobia Scarpa and produced by the historic Italian brand Flos. The Jucker represents one of the unquestioned icons of Italian design from the Space Age era. Its minimal and ingenious design is distinguished by the characteristic hemispherical dome lampshade, mounted on a stem that allows orienting and tilting the diffuser to modulate and direct the light beam at will.
The lamps are presented in good vintage condition, with normal and slight signs of wear and age (small superficial scratches consistent with the age on the enameled steel, as visible in the photo). The electrical system is original and functional.
SPECIFIC STATE NOTE: On one of the two lamps, a side fixing bolt/nut for the lampshade is missing (easily obtainable or replaceable; the mechanism remains adjustable).
