Rare Carving/Game Antique Silver Service 950 – Risler & Carré (Paris)

Description:
Refined and imposing antique carving set for meat and game, crafted by the prestigious Parisian jewelry house Risler & Carré (active in Paris from the late 19th to the early 20th century).

The set consists of two large pieces:
• Large carving knife with a shaped steel blade (length 30 cm)
• Four-tine serving fork with a dramatic hinged guard/support mechanism featuring a raised engraved figure. (Length 26 cm)

Features and Hallmarks:
• Handles: In solid silver, worked in neoclassical / Louis XVI style, finely relief-decorated with festoons, vegetal garlands, raised motifs and a central cartouche.
• Hallmarks: On the silver collars the French assay mark Minerva Head 1st Title (silver 950/1000) and the diamond-shaped master silversmith mark of Risler & Carré are clearly visible.
• Condition: Good overall preserved condition.
