Salad service set – 950‰ silver-filled, Minerva first title hallmark – France, 19th century – case
Description:
Elegant antique French service cutlery set comprising a large spoon and a large salad fork.
The handles are made in 950‰ silver, stamped with Minerva 1st title, with a refined Louis XVI style decoration of twisted guilloches and foliate motifs.
The serving parts are made of bone. The material has not been the subject of expert testing to formally determine its nature; it is therefore described here without definitive attribution.
Set presented in its antique case lined with blue velvet.
