Above the two coats of arms of the city and province, held high in the clouds by a maiden in an enclosed devotional garden. A large number of ships on the river. In the foreground a number of figures: the traditional Braun & Hogenberg pair and two soldiers amid fields. Here also two fine cartouches with the extended title in Latin, left and right legend 1-41.
Orientation: West up.

Excellent condition, full sheet 39.5x51.5 cm with narrow margins, later hand-colored, centerfold as issued, verso blank.

Gezicht op Maastricht en Wijck vanuit het Oosten. 
Boven de twee wapenschilden van stad en provincie hoog in de wolken hooggehouden door een maagd in een omheinde devotionele tuin. Een groot aantal schepen op de rivier. Op de voorgrond een aantal figuren: het traditionele B&H paar en twee militairen temidden van velden. Hier ook twee fraaie cartouches met de uitgebreide titel in het Latijn links en rechts legenda 1-41. 
Oriëntatie: West boven.
