Bronze nummus pendant from 364–367 AD under Emperor Valens, set in a silver-plated metal pendant with a 925 silver cord chain, weighing 2.68 g, in good used condition with signs of wear, titled Valente/GLORIA ROMANORVM.
Description from the seller
Silver-plated metal pendant encapsulated, for better preservation, with bronze nummus under the reign of Emperor Valens (364-378 AD). Minted between 364-367 AD with mint at Cyzicus. It is mounted on a modern chain in the style of a 925 sterling silver necklace.
Obverse; bust of Emperor Valens with pearl diadem, draped and with a military cuirass, looking to the right.
Reverse; Inscription "GLORIA ROMANORVM" - The glory of the Romans - Emperor in military attire holding a labarum (imperial military standard) and with his right hand grabbing and dragging a bound captive.
It ships with a legal declaration sheet.
