Le Creuset - Cooking pot set (5) - source, Wood, Bakelite - With lids

Magnificent complete 5-piece set of vintage enameled cast iron pots from the famous French brand Le Creuset, offering high-performance utensils for gourmet cooking enthusiasts. Series with its enameled cast iron lids in the famous volcanic orange color, complete and perfectly stacked:

• 14 cm (diameter), weight: 1.307 kg, height: 7 cm

• 16 cm (diameter), weight: 1.711 kg, height: 7.5 cm

• 18 cm (diameter), weight: 2.066 kg, height: 8 cm

• 20 cm (diameter), weight: 2.564 kg, height: 9 cm

• 22 cm (diameter), weight: 2.978 kg, height: 9 cm

The matching lids feature a black bakelite knob, built-in pour spouts on the sides of the pots to facilitate serving, wooden handle complemented by a metal hanging ring at the end. Very good overall condition, enamel well preserved, only a few minor signs of use, notably on the edges (see photos).

Produced mainly in the 1960s and 1970s, these graduated series typically ranged from numbers 14 to 22 (indicating the diameter).

Service made in France in an artisanal way with high-quality materials and strict quality controls.

Each cast iron piece is born from a unique sand mold which is destroyed after the metal is poured.

Several layers of vitrified enamel are applied and fired at temperatures around 800 °C to fuse with the iron, a process partly done by hand.
