Description from the seller
Untraceable "Automate Musical by Marcel Philippart 1955 for Louis Vuitton for its Toy Salon opened in 1935 on the mezzanine of the Champs-Élysées store!!! Automaton/box of music brand Reuge animated, depicting a Marquis and Marquise couple "The Dancing Nobility" under Louis XVI turning on itself with pauses on pointe and accelerations, rising and descending. Entirely handcrafted with great meticulousness by Marcel Philippart, the face featuring a white bean, the parade clothing made from silk filaments, gauze, lace; the mane is made of wool and the frame in brass wire. The whole is beneath a glass globe. Musical piece by J.S. BACH. This Automaton is unobtainable because Louis Vuitton places a special order with dolls having a face painted on the bean; we occasionally find Automata of Philippart manufacture but always without a face!!! Louis Vuitton desired for its wealthy clientele a model that none of its competitors could possess!! It’s a family story—the Philippart family made the smallest dolls in the world, they were abundantly commissioned by luxurious houses Hermès and Louis Vuitton. The Philippart entrepreneurial family, established in Fresnay-sur-Sarthe, joined in 1955 with the Swiss company Reuge, specialized in music boxes, to manufacture these musical dolls. I offer you today the opportunity and the luck to acquire a pure marvel, a unique model!!! Do not miss this auction, as you will never again have the chance to possess such a jewel!!! It works perfectly, though a small revision is advisable, as there is a little noise when the figures rotate… Probably a adjustment but nothing serious. Happy bidding to all. Look carefully at the photos which are part of the description. Any damage not mentioned in the text but visible in the photos is considered described. No shipping outside the EU; if you are outside the European Union you may bid on one of my lots, however no claims will be possible in case of transport problems. Professional careful shipping, with signature and insurance."} } } }? Wait JSON must be exact with one key. I included extra quotes. Ensure proper JSON escaping. Also I included stray characters.
