Credenza - Wood, Bronze, Brass - Louis XV side table

Elegant living room coffee table (table de salon or chiffonière) crafted in the Louis XV style and dating from the late nineteenth century (Napoleonic III period / Eclecticism).
The furniture features the typical wavy and refined silhouette of the period, characterized by slender, graceful cabriole legs joined at the bottom by a practical, shaped spacer shelf.
The surface is embellished with a fine veneering and geometric inlay with floral and ornamental motifs in contrasting precious woods. The decorative details are enhanced by gilt bronze or brushed brass applied fittings and tiny mounts, placed on the uprights and on the feet in leaf-shaped, curled motifs.
Equipped with a front drawer centered by a contemporaneous and functional bronze handle.

State of conservation: The piece needs restoration; ideal for antique dealers or enthusiasts. The antique structure is solid, stable, and firm; the drawer and guides are sound, free of major structural chips or failures. A superficial cosmetic restoration (spirits polish/wax) is required to revive the natural wood tones and correct normal opacification and bloom of the varnish due to time.
