AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Beautiful vintage Junghans “Picnic” wall clock, designed by Swedish designer Marianne Westman and produced in Germany in the 1960s.

The clock is made of white ceramic and features the characteristic colourful “Picnic” decoration with vegetables and botanical motifs. The dial has a yellow ring with black graphic details, typical of the playful Scandinavian design of the 1960s.

The reverse is marked 31/0296. The clock is fitted with a Junghans movement, which is currently working.

Condition: Good and working vintage condition, with normal signs of age and use. There are a few small areas where the white paint is missing from the outer frame around the glass. There is also a small chip/damage on the rear side, which is not visible from the front. The colourful decoration on the front is well preserved. Please see the photographs for a detailed view of the condition.

A charming and highly recognisable vintage design object, particularly suitable for collectors of Junghans clocks, Marianne Westman designs and mid-century/Scandinavian design.
