Description from the seller
Offered is an authentic German regulator wall clock from the well-known manufacturer Junghans. The clock dates from around 1900 (Gründerzeit) and is in a notably complete, original condition.
The movement on the dial is marked with Junghans' early trademark: the eight-pointed star with the letter 'J'.
The wooden case features turned pillars and consoles.
The cap is crowned by the characteristic wooden horse and a hand-carved wooden lion head.
Condition and operation:
Movement & striking mechanism: Fully functional.
The clock runs on time and the strike system chimes correctly.
Pendulum: Original brass grid pendulum with R/A disc (Retard/Advance) and the associated pendulum swing scale at the bottom of the case.
Accessories: Supplied including winding key and the two original alignment screws on the underside, one screw having sadly fallen away over time.
