An impressive agate geode half with a dense druzy layer of small quartz crystals, finished with a titanium coating that places the entire surface in a deep metallic play of colors. Depending on the light, the color shifts from olive green and bronze to violet, turquoise and gold – each crystal facet catching the light a little differently.
The edge of the geode shows the natural agate banding, where the coating fades into bright rainbow tones of blue to yellow and magenta. The backside displays the original, untreated matrix with green felonite (celadonite) and white quartz seams: the evidence of the volcanic cavity in which this stone grew millions of years ago.
The specimen is mounted on a black metal stand, allowing the geode to stand freely in space and be appreciated from both sides. A showpiece on a bookshelf, desk or windowsill.
