Schuco - Boxer Champinon / Max or Jack no. 943 - Wind-up tin figure - Unknown - Germany

Schuco - Boxer Champion / Max or Jack with key - Germany

A very rare "Boxing Champion" figure in fighting pose from Schuco. The boxer features a yellow felt vest, black shorts, arms and legs made of flesh-colored felt, a tin head, dark brown felt boxing gloves, white felt socks, and black metal shoes. The figure has painted hair.

I have been unable to find another example of this figure with a yellow felt vest, so I do not know his specific name. These figures were produced under names such as Boxer-Max, Boxer-Jack, and Weltmeister/Champion. As it can be seen, there is damage to the felt on his left arm. For some reason, these figures are often found with this type of damage.

The boxer is powered by a wind-up mechanism and is excellent working.

See photo for the general condition of the toy. They are a main part of the description.
