Denmark-made mid‑century modern telescopic wall lamp attributed to Henning Seidelin, Model 203 for Le Klint, in teak wood and metal with a red non‑original shade, 90 cm wide, 30 cm deep, 26 cm high, in good vintage condition with minor signs of age and in working order.
Description from the seller
Beautiful vintage lamp, with all the characteristics of Henning Seidelin (attributed) - Model 203 telescopic wall lamp for Le Klint - Denmark - 1960s, but no documents available.
Note: the attribution to Henning Seidelin is based on model features and available comparison sources; original documentation is lacking. As a result, the lamp is offered as attributed to Henning Seidelin.
Elegant and rare Danish mid-century wall lamp, attributed to the renowned designer Henning Seidelin. This model is widely recognized as the Model 203 telescopic wall lamp, designed for Le Klint in the 1960s.
The lamp is crafted in a handsome combination of teak wood and metal and features the distinctive retractable telescope arm with three metal rods. Thanks to the adjustable hinge at the shade, the light can be easily directed in the desired direction, making the lamp both functional and decorative.
The design reflects the simplicity, functionality and high-quality material choices for which Danish design of the 1960s is renowned worldwide. The current folded red shade is a later replacement and not the original Le Klint shade. Nevertheless, it forms a striking and atmospheric whole that suitably fits the lamp’s character.
Dimensions (approximately):
Maximum reach: 60 - 90 cm
Shade height: 26 cm
Shade diameter: 30 cm
Condition: Good vintage condition with signs of use appropriate for age and use. Wooden and metal components are in tidy condition. Fully tested in working order. The shade is not original and shows light signs of wear.
An attractive example of Scandinavian modernism and a handsome addition to interiors in Mid-Century Modern, Danish design, or vintage style.
