This handwoven Kelim runner is particularly simple and modern in design. The entire carpet surface is almost completely kept in black, which makes it feel very calm, clear, and reduced. Patterns, ornaments, or additional color accents are consciously avoided.
The effect mainly comes from the evenly dark surface and the fine, slightly irregular texture of the handwoven material. Depending on the angle of light, minor variations in the surface may appear without losing the overall monochrome character.
The light fringes on the two short sides create a subtle contrast to the black carpet surface and emphasize the handicraft character of the Kelim.
With its dimensions of 196 × 74 cm, the rug is especially suitable as a runner for hallways, foyers, narrow living areas, or beside the bed.
