Lot of 8 Limoges porcelain dessert plates – Bernardaud & Co. – France – Early 20th century
Elegant set of 8 dessert plates in fine Limoges porcelain, produced by the prestigious L. Bernardaud & Co. factory in Limoges, France.
These plates feature a simple, refined decoration, consisting of a delicate gilded rim adorned with a frieze of motifs in the form of ears of wheat or stylized foliage. The whiteness of the porcelain harmonizes with the gilding, giving this set a timeless elegance.
The reverse bears the Bernardaud factory marks and Limoges marks, confirming their French origin.
Period: first half of the 20th century, probably between 1950 and 1960, subject to confirmation by the study of the markings.
