Superb and authentic high-end antique travel suitcase (cabin or transport trunk), a true witness to the golden age of travel at the turn of the 20th century. This piece stands out for its exceptional and entirely original interior condition. Unlike most suitcases from this era whose lining made of fabric or paper is ruined, this model features a beautiful dark burgundy leather interior, complete with its natural leather retaining straps and multiple intact perimeter storage compartments.
On the outside, the rigid tan leather structure features riveted corner reinforcements, a sturdy leather handle with brass fittings, and two impressive original solid brass locks. Subtle vintage initials "H.B." are hot-stamped under the central handle.
