I am auctioning a necklace of very large stabilized turquoise beads of superior quality. The entire necklace has been hand-knotted with a knot in between each stabilized turquoise bead, and the large clasp is sterling silver 925 with gold plating.
In the context of Christianity, turquoise is associated mainly with celestial symbolism and protective properties. It is attributed a meaning similar to the teal-blue color, which is linked to heaven, the Holy Spirit, and divine peace. Additionally, turquoise has been used in religious objects and ornaments, such as crosses and reliquaries, for its supposed healing and protective properties, especially during the Middle Ages.
