Historical 100 Deutsche Mark banknote, first issue of the German mark, issued by the Bank Deutscher Länder in Frankfurt am Main on 9 December 1948.
Nicknamed by collectors the "Roter Hunderter" for the distinctive red color of the printing.
Variant: Kennbuchstabe B.29, Series 070169323 / 69323.
Obverse: stylized portrait of a man wearing a cap, large inscription "100 DEUTSCHE MARK", seal BANK DEUTSCHER LÄNDER.
Reverse: view of a medieval town (Bamberg), large inscription "HUNDERT DEUTSCHE MARK".
Condition: Circulated. A horizontal and vertical central crease from use is evident, light age-yellowing, small edge tears (visible in photos) and rounded corners. No restoration, no washing, original period issue. A good collectible example for a rare type.
Ideal for a post-war Germany / early Bundesbank collection.
