Rare antique doll "La Petite Française" - Jules Verlingue (JV) - biscuit head & jointed body - 45 cm
Very beautiful and rare French-made collectible doll signed Jules Verlingue (JV), model registered under the brand "La Petite Française". Produced during the WWI period, this doll embodies the craftsmanship of the Boulogne-sur-Mer manufacture with its famous anchor mark engraved in relief in the back of the neck.
Head & Face
Biscuit porcelain head in perfect condition, delicate and fresh complexion. No cracks, no hairlines, no restoration (checked under light).
Magnificent fixed blue glass eyes, expressive.
Open mouth revealing a row of small molded upper teeth.
Finely painted eyebrows with characteristic crease lines of the mold.
Very clear and complete back of neck marking:
Top engraving: PETITE FRANÇAISE
JV monogram surrounding the Anchor Marine
France 6D
LIANE at the bottom of the neck.
Body & Joints
Fully jointed composition-and-wood body.
Marked with the number 6 clearly visible on the back.
Nice original patina, joints firm and holding poses well. Normal light wear due to time (visible in photos), not serious.

Softly curled wig in light chestnut / Venetian blond shade.
Dressed in a very pretty antique white cotton dress with delicate lace collar.
Wearing its matching antique presentation shoes with knot details.
