Amber-coloured multicoloured glass vase 'Sonoor' designed by Andries Dirk Copier for Glasfabriek Leerdam, dating from the 1950s, in good used condition with minor signs of aging; height 18 cm, diameter 17 cm.
Description from the seller
Hereby offered a nice original amber-colored craquelé vase, model Sonoor, designed by Andries Dirk Copier (A.D. Copier) for Glasfabriek Leerdam from the 1950s, in good condition.
The vase has a constriction above the foot. An egg-shaped form with a wide mouth rim in amber-colored glass with a white craquelé finish.
This finish with the described characteristics originates from 1950.
The vase is in good condition with signs of use, some residue.
With a height of 18 centimeters and a diameter of 17 cm, this vase belongs to the larger and more rare formats within the 'Sonoor' series.
What does this format mean for the value?
Rarity: Because blowing a thick-walled vase of this size with tincraquelé was technically more complex, significantly fewer large examples were produced at the time.
Value: While the smaller Sonoor vases are often traded between €70 and €120, the market value for a pristine 21 cm example is considerably higher. Depending on condition, the intensity of the craquelé, and the auction channel, larger monumental variants regularly fetch between €150 and €250.
