Set of 4 dining chairs from the Luigi Filippo style, dating to 1850–1900, made of wood with fabric upholstery, originating from Italy and in excellent vintage condition with light signs of wear and age.
Description from the seller
Elegant set of 4 antique dining chairs, dating from the late 19th century, in full Louis-Philippe / Italian Historicism style. The chairs are made of precious wood (presumably walnut or mahogany) with the typical sinuous openwork backrest shaped like a balloon and cabriole front legs. The seat is generously padded and upholstered with a refined loom Gobelin fabric featuring rich multicolored floral motifs, finished around the edges with original bronzed metal studs of the period. The pieces appear in excellent vintage condition: the wooden frame is solid and stable, the padding retains excellent firmness, and the fabric is intact, free of tears or significant stains. An ideal lot to complete elegant dining rooms or historic parlors.
