Ancient Egyptian faience amulet titled 'Llave de la vida/fayenza', featuring 18K gold‑plated beads, with coral and glass beads and a central Ankh cross, weighing 8.39 g in good used condition.
Description from the seller
Protective amulet symbol of life in faience combined with beads of white coral, glass, and Ancient Egyptian faience. They are combined with modern beads with 18K gold plating and set on thread with a magnetic clasp, all plated in 18K gold.
A central cross-shaped bead associated with the Ankh, known as the Egyptian cross or key of life. This symbol represents life, immortality, and the breath of life.
In Ancient Egypt it was frequently used as a protective talisman for both the living and the dead, ensuring health, vitality, or a successful transition to the afterlife.
It is made of Egyptian faience; this material was not just an aesthetic choice, but had a deep semantic meaning. It was associated with the Nile, vegetation, fertility, rebirth, and renewal.
In this way, this amulet doubles its good-luck symbolism, on one hand 'life' through its shape and on the other 'rebirth/eternity' through its color.
A jewel full of symbolism and history that endures, despite the passage of time, for all eternity.
An elegant way to combine the classical world with the modern world.
It ships with a legal declarations sheet.
Customs duties outside the EU will be borne by the auction winner.
