Description from the seller

Val Saint Lambert – "Éclair" Crystal Table Lamp with Peacock Designer Lampshade – Belgium, circa 1962

An exceptional Val Saint Lambert "Éclair" crystal table lamp, an officially catalogued model from the renowned Belgian crystal manufacturer. Designed during the golden age of Belgian Mid-Century design, the Éclair model is celebrated for its elegant sculptural silhouette and remarkable optical brilliance.

The heavy crystal base features the characteristic flowing twisted form, creating fascinating light reflections and an impression of movement from every angle. The rich emerald-green crystal beautifully contrasts with the surrounding clear lead crystal, resulting in a striking decorative object even when unlit.

This lamp has been fitted with a new premium-quality drum lampshade, decorated with an elegant peacock feather motif and finished with a luxurious gold-coloured interior. The warm golden lining enhances the brilliance of the crystal while adding a refined and sophisticated atmosphere. The combination of authentic Belgian Mid-Century crystal and a contemporary design style shade creates a timeless statement piece suitable for both classic and modern interiors.

Founded in 1826 in Seraing, Belgium, Val Saint Lambert is internationally renowned for producing some of Europe's finest hand-crafted lead crystal. Throughout the twentieth century the factory collaborated with leading Belgian designers and became famous for its innovative artistic crystal, now highly appreciated by collectors and interior designers worldwide.

The crystal base is signed underneath with the engraved Val Saint Lambert signature and still retains its original Val Saint Lambert foil label, confirming its authenticity.
