Art deco vase model “Oignon” in opalescent glass from the Parisian manufacturer Etaleune.

Art Deco-style decoration with 4 frieze flowers and 4 alternately ribbed sections. One of the most impressive models from the Etaleune house, where originality of form and quality of decoration are combined. The opalescence adds a distinctive touch to this model because it has rarely been used by the brand.

Dimensions: Height: 19 cm. Width: 25 cm.

Engraved in relief at the bottom: ETALEUNE PARIS FRANCE (see photo, but difficult to photograph)

Condition: Good condition with signs of aging and spots.

Etaleune is a signature for “ETAblissements LEUNE”. The company’s headquarters were located at 28bis, rue du Cardinal Lemoine, Paris. They produced glass between 1900 and 1930. Paul Daum (from the well-known crystal family Daum) led the company in the early 1920s. Artist Auguste Théodore Heiligenstein was artistic director from 1923 to 1926.
