Pair of large vintage die-cast aluminum handles – Model G/002 – 1960s/1970s

Splendid and exceptional pair of large architectural handles in full Mid-Century Modern style, dating from the period spanning the 1960s and 1970s.
The handles are made of heavy die-cast aluminum, finished on the face with a rich raised sculptural texture that is asymmetrical and geometric, reminiscent of the abstract works of the modernist avant-garde of the period.
On the back of each piece the foundry mark is clearly visible with the model code G/002.
Thanks to their substantial size and dramatic visual impact, these elements were used as showcase handles for entrance gates, large designer sliding doors, or to customize high-end architect-style furniture and mid-century modern pieces. The lot includes both handles complete with their original metal mounting plates (firmly fixed to the back with screws), ready to install.
